Okay, so currently have a Ruger M77 sitting in a bed of acraglass gel I just mixed. I waxed the heck out of the front action screw and the front action screw hole. I placed the gel all around the screw as it stuck up through the stock and then lowered the action on and tightened it up. When I was doing that, I could feel a bit of the gel going up into the screw hole.
So my question is, how long should I let it setup before backing the screw out a turn or two? Just being paranoid hopefully. This is my first Ruger bedding job and that angled screw creeps me.

I usually glass bed in the afternoons, let it sit over night and then remove the screws and action.. Should be a piece of cake for ya..

Almost boxed it up and shipped it to you, but wanted to try this one myself. I'll give it a few hours and turn that screw a bit and then leave till late tonight. Thinking everything was waxed good enough though.

Don't panic, let it set up overnight and then loosen it. If you waxed it real good, nothing to worry about.

Just took it apart and it worked well thank goodness. Drilled the glass out of the front action screw hole, cleaned off the wax and bolted it back up together. Got the barrel centered nicely in the barrel channel using 3 wraps of blue tape when bedding. Everything functions and once it is totally cured will see how it shoots. I put the longer 308 magazine in when I reassembled. The 22-250 follower is a little short for it, but hoping my longer 22-250 will feed well. If not, will buy the longer follower. About ready for coyotes.
Thanks for the advice above.
