Im buying parts for a new rig and would like suggestions. The rifle will be on a small Sako 75 I (223 bf) action with likely a 20-22" Lilja #2 barrel in 17 caliber. It will also be shot with a suppressor that weighs roughly 15 oz. The rifle will only be shot off shooting sticks and I like a bit of forward balance for this. Scope will be in the 20 oz. range with Sako Optilock ringmounts.
So my question is do I get edge fill or standards fill with gelcoat? The pattern will be a McMillan Sako 75 Hunter stock with 1/2" pad.
Could anyone tell me the weight difference in standard fill gelcoat vs painted edge in the sako hunter pattern? Any suggestions, good or bad, are much appreciated.
