I found several 100 round CCI boxes in my junk box. Can't recall seeing them on the shelves in quite some time. Used to shoot a ton of them and CB Longs, CB Caps, and man I used to love BB Caps in my Ruger SA. My uncle had on of the stock magazine Brownings that I swear would hold 1/2 box of ammo.

Good days gone by?

I saw some 22 shorts at Walley world not too long ago. I have no use for them so just glanced at them. miles

I bought some this year, CCI HP's and they shot real, real bad out of three different rifles. You could hear the difference from shot to shot and it showed on the paper. It's to bad because I really liked 22 short HP's in the past.

Bought some locally about a month ago. Hadn't seen any around here in a few years. Also saw some yesterday being listed as available at www.targetsportsusa.com from several different makers. Looks like most all the rimfire stuff is finally getting back to what could be called normalcy.

I use them pretty often, when I catch coons in my trap. I have an old Remington M24 that's Short Only, and it's really handy when you have a coon handy. It kills them quicker than CCI Quiets do. It's a much more decisive killing load than those damned Quiets.

I frequently plink with them in my Winchester 1906 now that I can focus the open sights better now. Eyeball told me to get a pair of 125 or 150 reading glasses.

LGS stocks the shorts and my most recent purchase was Remington HV plated round nose.

I'm hoarding a few boxes. CB shorts are still easy to find. And I see the HV shorts every now and then.

The Cabela's in LaVista, NE, had several 100 round boxes of CCI .22 Shorts on the shelf when I was there last week.

22 shorts are just fun to shoot and can be very accurate to boot.I have 4 rifles I shoot shorts in almost exclusively. One is a 10-22 converted to 22 short, other 3 are still LR chambered. Been wanting to pick up one of the Browning autos in 22 short.

I really like the now discontinued Winchester low velocity load. When I found out they stopped making them I found and bought 2 cases. Have 15+ thousand 22 shorts in the basement so I haven't noticed they've been hard to find...

22 Shorts are standard ammo for Bullseye or International Rapid Fire stages. Probably not an event or sport that is followed too closely here but nevertheless. Rapid Fire Olympic pistols like the old High Standards and most good quality Euro competition guns fire 22 Shorts only which means lighter aluminum slides on steel frames. They are fun to shoot and in the right gun and skilled hand extremely accurate

Dad and I would go to the town dump after church on Sundays with my Winchester Model 47 Target and a "Chicklet Pack" of 25 Remington .22 shorts and kill cans and other wretched refuse.

22 shorts are on the shelves at several of my local fun shops, I can’t walk out the without a couple boxes of rimfire ammo. 22 shorts are a hoot to shoot out of a tube fed vintage lever action or pump gun.

My old Marlin 39A holds 25 shorts --- Load on Sunday, shoot all week ..... I still have a pre- WWll High Standard pistol chambered for the short -- lots of fun.

I agree that they aren't stocked much any more. When I find some, I buy a bunch.

It's a behind the scenes maneuver by the National Hogs Against Shorts (NHAS). I've read that if they fail to stop the manufacture of shorts they will soon be protesting in public. Maybe even in your garden.
