Where are you seeing the sale? It isn't advertised on their website, unless I am missing something.
Even after "checking out" with a pack selected there isn't any kind of a sale or discount that I can find.

I'm not sure where Jud got his pack, but I have seen some good prices on eBay for new MR packs. I bought a Pintler last week for about 30% off MSRP.

Look close. Seems they marked them up a bit before they marked them down.
Still a great pack though.
I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.

It's too bad that on overseas pack is tougher and hauls a load better than most USA packs. Sure they are from Montana. That makes me feel better anyway.

t's too bad that on overseas pack is tougher and hauls a load better than most USA packs. Yeah, that bothered me and I've been waiting for awhile to see how they would hold up. Everyone I've talked to like theirs. Had a hard time making up my mind between the Metcalf and Pintler and just figured I could take the lid off the Metcalf to bring it down to the weight of the Pintler.

My Pintler got here today. I think I'm gonna like it. I had forgotten how 'overbuilt' MRs packs are made. Looking forward to playing with it.

I like the Pintler as a day pack. Mostly use the Metcalf for meat hauling or overnights, but it’d make a fine day pack as well. MR packs give me warm fuzzies for a lot of reasons.

My metcalf is on the way as well. 457.00 shipped.

I just picked up a Cabinet from Mountain Archery for $339. I had a Crew Cab previously but it was a little heavy and didnt have load lifters. The Cabinet is very close to the Crew Cab in design, butg is lighter and has lifters. Should be pretty decent.

Any of you guys running the Pintler or Metcalf use or plan on using the Quick Draw shoulder strap MR sells?
I'm just wondering if it's worth the $79 and a better solution to just lashing the rifle to my pack like I've been doing. Thanks.

It's too bad that on overseas pack is tougher and hauls a load better than most USA packs. Sure they are from Montana. That makes me feel better anyway. I couldn’t disagree more... the original MR NICE frame with a load lifter was the true heavy haul Work Horse of packs. It’s rated at over 200lbs.. these new foreign made packs with guide frames are nothing to write home about. Still a nice pack but kifaru and stone glacier have them beat for features, comfort and weight capabilities in my opinion and customer service. You cant customize anything with MR or even order a extra pack for your frame!! BUT the main thing that bothers me and took me from the biggest die hard MR guy to a hater is the fact they make these packs over seas at the same price they charged when they had US workers building them.. I’ll pay a bit more just to know someone here made it and my money stays here.. FYI, I talked to MR direct when I cancelled my order once I found out it was foreign made 2 years ago and they said all their military packs are still made here as they can’t ship that over seas as it’s a US contract. They just went cheap for us hunters..
