Well, I took the good advice of the fire and pulled the trigger on a Sako Finnfire 2 .22lr. Got a steal of a deal on it. Most online outlets have this rifle from $950 - $1100, then you have to figure in shipping and ffl fees. Sportsmans had one that had set on the shelf for two years, they had it red tagged down to $799 - which is a deal in itself - except for the fact that they are also having a end of the year clearance on all guns AND guess what, this rifle qualified for it! $699 sale price before tax... Got it on layaway as I wont "need" it for a couple months. Probably the best deal I have ever got on a new rifle purchase. Pretty stoked.

I have 1" medium steel burris signature 22 rings and got in yesterday on the $109 Special on the Sightron SII 3-9X42. Going to be a pretty slick little .22 that will have the feel of a full size rifle.

Excellent price, you will not be disappointed. Get a good range of 22LR, cheap to target it will like one of them..

Outstanding. I may need to peek at our Sportsman's to see if they have one.

I have over 4k rounds of .22 ammo but nothing "high end" lots of Remington, Blazer, CCI brick ammo. 36gr HP and 40 grain RN. Hopefully something shoots good enough..lol

In my $200 Remington 597, the cheap 40 grain lead blazer ammo shoots lights out and never fails, the 36 grain HP ammo jams every 3-4 rounds and doesn't shoot nearly as good.

Smokin deal on that rifle, I'd been all over it too.

S1's and 2s. I have a few S1s and they are good scopes for the money. Eye relief is short, but otherwise I think they are pretty darned good.

This is the free shipping code that was in effect.

Have a Sightron SII that came on a rifle When I bought it.
It is a good scope and unlike the SI doesn't seem to have "short" eye relief.
Has as fast and easy sight acquisition as a leupold VariXII.
Had a brand new SI ( only other Sightron I have ever owned) go bad first tirp to the range, and they sent me a new one without any trouble.
Good customer service.
Good deal gun and glass sounds to me.
