Hit the gym this morning, 35 minutes/300 calories on the arm bike, 4 leg machines, back machine, and leg lifts.

An hour on “trail” with Onyx. Started off thinking “This is great “ someone had been on the trail with MSR snowshoes. Well about 600 yards up the first steep climb, snowshoe man turned around, so the rest of the climb was some major post holding. Someday all this white crap will melt. Possibly soon.

I took my little boat out on the ocean (calm seas) and caught ling cod limits with my buddy. We were noobs but the fishery is hot. I don't know how to quantify the workout but I'm whipped. From my hands to my feet. Catching big fish in a little boat on the Pacific is a whole body workout that'll leave you smiling. smile

Tiny E and I got 4 miles in yesterday evening

Ed- I saw something yesterday on the trails I haven’t seen since November- a little bit of mud, granted it was a very small stretch and on a southwest facing slope, but mud nonetheless smile

Jeff- fish and chips at your place Friday? smile

A 10K today, with 40lbs and -4F. Snow conditions are absolutely perfect for snowshoeing...

A nice break from my 60 minutes a day on the elliptical....

Kettlebell swings for me today. Almost seems absurd how they work so many muscles. I mean when I first seen them done I thought they looked silly and thought no way could they be an effective exercise. Let me assure you I was very WRONG!

How right you are.

Anyway, a continuum of squats, deadllifts, Bench press, roll-outs, lunges, standing press, thrusters, curls, kettlebells, stairmaster, treadmill and rower. Nothing changes but the day and which ones are up.

Another hour long spin class this evening the a quick session of lifting.
Mike, you should have taken a photo of the mud so people would believe you saw it. Seeing Bigfoot has been more likely than mud since about November.

Did upper body last night, mostly cable machines, pull-ups, rows. Got rid of the hard cast on Tuesday, they replaced it with an air cast. Dr. said the ankle is ahead of schedule as far as the incisions healing up and has much less swelling than most people at this point six weeks out. Two more weeks and I can start putting weight on it and driving again.

I have a few training session lined up with a comely trainer at the gym. Need to build the strength back.
