I would rather not stink up BigFins post since he is nice enough to share his hunts with us but that is not true.

Great videos-like normal. I never expect anything less from Big Fin.

Godogs---I put in for unit 16B every year as a NR and it has a lot of National Forest. I never get drawn of course but there are NR tags available. I'm not sure if you're misreading the regs or what the deal is but NRs can hunt federally managed lands in New Mexico.

I went back and checked and do indeed stand corrected. It seemed that most of the areas I was interested in it would show zero NR tags, but that doesn’t mean all units were that way. Haven’t had the chance to view Randy’s videos, but I’m sure they are great as usual.

BigFin/Randy Well done enjoyed the walk in the hills with you. Live not too far from the couple you were guiding.
Congratulations to all involved. Cheers NC

Great video Randy!

Man, lots of beetle kill. Good thing is it opens the ground up to sunlight, the down side is it's likely to increase the success rate, and potentially less tags in the future. If those had been live conifers some of the elk wouldn't have been visible.

Now I see that country is a burn, rather than beetle kill, for the most part anyway.

It has nothing to do with National Forest. Cow tags and State Wildlife areas are resident only in the draw.

Randy,
Next time you talk with the Leupold CEO, you might send him links to the threads about Leupold scope problems. Would like to see Leupold sort out their issues with tracking and holding zero.

Keep them coming.
Thanks for sharing.
Reminds me of how much I hate blow-down forests.
