I got this gun in a bundle package with some others. I've had time over the holidays to research it a bit now. It's a Browning Citori XS (sporting I think??? Correct me if I'm wrong) 28 Gauge. I discovered today based on serial # that it was made in 2002. 30" barrels. I don't think it's ever been shot. I'm eventually going to sell this, looking for pricing on it. I tried asking over on trapshooter.com and they banned me for asking for a gun value as a new member, bunch of a-holes over there apparently. Any help is appreciated. Theres so many models of these, I can't figure out what it should be valued at and I haven't seen any for sale in this configuration.
Thank you,
Matt

Battue is pretty darn close IMO.

I get banned on Trapshooters.com on a regular bases, hell Im banned right now. I had the gall to put 2 scopes in 1 add and they got me banned for a week. Rules say only 1 item per add and I forgot. Last time I was banned I used the word "new" instead of "unused" and got another week in the hole because Im not a vendor and there for not allowed to sell new stuff.

The people over there are great and we all laugh at the banned thing. Even the mods are OK, I think the head mod must be the issue. I have chatted with a few of the other mods and they seem fine. But they will ban your azz for the dumbest of reasons!

I’m going to have to join over there. The way they use the term banned sounds like an abuse of language. What’s the penalty for abusive language? Do they allow linguistic discussions on Trapshooters.com and what would be the appropriate subforum to start such a thread in?

I don't understand these- I got it in a trade but don't know the value-. How do you trade for something and not know the value of what you are receiving especially if you are in the gun business.

I stupidly put the same model up for $1500 at a shop on consignment several years ago. It sold in three days which means I should have asked more. I should have kept it as I really liked that gun. Two years ago I replaced it with another XS for $1400 which I thought a steal.

Here, I would ask $1500-$1600 if I wanted a quicker sale, $1700 if I had time. One can always entertain a lower offer but it can be difficult to ask more.

Where did I say I traded for it? I bought a group of guns together, of which a few I really wanted. I knew it was a nice gun, but the value and “grade” I had no clue on. So I asked here. I’m not in the gun business.
Thanks for the info woodmaster, that’s the info I got from a member via pm on another site as well. It’s pending trade as of now.

I saw a citori lightweight?? a few weeks ago LNIB condition for 1200 it was a 28 gauge. I don't even know if you can use that price as a reference since they appear to be a night and day difference in appearance . It has to sell for more then that based on what I see in your link but how much more no clue.
