Spun on a 26 inch Shilen 6.5 x 47 lapua on one of my savage 10s and went to my range. First 5 shot group was a bug hole with Varget and 130 gr hornady eld match. I'm not posting the varget load as it's over listed max but it's averaging 2834 with a es of 11fps.
Took a doe twenty minutes after sight in at 504 yards and a week later 2 eight points on consecutive days at 415 yards and 468 yards.
The match bullets performed well but I did avoid shoulder shots.

Very nice shooting, Amax......

My 6.5x47L load is the 129gr LRAB at 2,900fps with RL17, but with a 22.5" barrel. Have not yet had an opportunity to take animals past 315yds with it.

Now with even more aplomb

Thanks for the info Jpro. I have some Re 17 but have never gotten it to group in anything I've tried it in. To be fair I haven't tried
It in the 6.5 yet though. I have killed deer out to 627 yds with my 243 win and the 6.5 seems to thump them a little harder at comparable ranges.

In my 23" Brux, the accuracy load is at 2820.

My 26" Brux was at 2850 for best accuracy.

My Bat gun, with a 27.5" Bartlein, let's me run the upper node for velocity & accuracy at 3010.
