I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Got it....Feral hogs are a no eat! No they're not. Post that same question on the general big game forum and see what answers you get.

Trystan
Been a week so had to see just how many hurt puzzie remarks I had acquired whilst fishing for the I can't help myself gang.........hahahahaha!! As usual the typical I love to complain and whine crowd showed to beg controversy into their pathetic little life. Trystan Ha! Been over a week now! I apologize I have not really had time to read through this thread. I do have to however in the name of the "I can't help it crowd" hahahahahhahahaha................post something for the idiots to chew on 😳 My guess is smokepole is probably the only one stupid enough to reply at this point. Stupid fugger just can't help himself Have a great week Clark

If you trap them in a large cage, and catch momma with some little hoglets, the real small ones are edible. You won’t even be able to stay in your house if you try to cook the meat from a big hog.

hogs, it all depends on the smell when you walk up to them IMHO. I believe its hormones... we've eaten smaller ones that are bad, larger ones, IE over 200 that are just perfectly fine. Sows and boars.
If they have a strong musk to them, no.
OTOH I have not had a bad one of say 60 or less... one 80ish pounder was pretty bad though, and female but did have an odor..
As to Trystan, tools abound.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

+1 on what rost says there. The smell is generally a good clue. If you have to wash your hands in diesel to kill the stink, don't try to eat it......
Now with even more aplomb
