Gun sitting in the showcase at a rual Walmart. Department manager said he found it in the back lockup when he took over the department and started cleaning up. I went home and let google find me some forums and reviews and then went back and ran the serial number for the recall they had. The gun ended up scanning 199.97 “final clearance” I will tell you i have been impressed with this shotgun. So much that i started searching for another. “My 16 yr old daughter claimed this one” I found another via google at academy sports. When i got there it was a turkey model of sorts “ not listed like that on their web page” their manager said i was lucky it was even here because the inventory is always wrong. But he offered to knock $50 off the price since i drove an hour to get it. I’m liking it even better. Very well balanced and fiber optic sites. Ended up $279.99 for it.

I’m thinking that was their idea. It’s beefy and shoots all loads sizes. I guess it didn’t get the response from the masses and was discontinued at some point I like it. Not sure if I’d paid the original price I’m thinking in the $500 range.

Bounce the serial number off Remington's recall list for that shotgun before you go too far.

Be advised that that plastic overpaying is not waterproof, I honestly don't know what Remington was thinking that that thing

Many reports of them getting moisture underneath the plastic coverings, then rusting from the inside out.

I’m usually pretty good at taking care of my stuff. Wouldn’t purposely get them wet anyway. Cheap pump shotguns are fun.
