Tikka if you can get one, hopefully some others too. The other option I have considered is to set back and rechamber a 223.

No, you don't. Just handload a .223 Rem. to .222 Rem. velocities. Voila!

I am sick that I did not weasel one from Euro optic (Tikka ) last winter . They were about $550. Instead I made a BAD compromise on a Savage 340 RH. Lost money on the 340 and it was very clumsy for this old lefty.

You can get a Blaser R8 in 222. Also the K95 is available in 222.

I would like the wood stocked 222 but of course others might not, it shouldn't be too hard to find a take off synthetic stock and then sell your wood if you like.

I would think the A bolt stock would be a lot harder to find. Tikka is much more common, I just seen a couple on this side of the border this week. Some of the shops customizing Tikka's would have them I would bet.

You could rebarrel the Mini-Mauser, and speed the twist up a bit. Most factory .222s are twisted pretty slow.

I think I saw that McMillan has some A-Bolt stocks.

Can't even wanting to twist the 222R fast, if you want to lob heavies get a 223 for that. The 222R is just perfect for 40-55ge bullets as is. A 222R with 52gr Speer FB's is the perfect coyote pelt hunting rig.

Sorry they aren't lefties but I look at this forum every once in a while as my dad was a lefty and it was a challenge to buy him nice guns .

Ruger made a run of No.1's in the deuce a couple of years back. 1 in 9 twist IIRC.

Wood was pretty plain one the ones I saw though.

Kimber of Oregon made some of the Model 84 in .222 Rem. and left-hand. They are nice, light, accurate rifles.

Check with shrapnel. He's a Sako King.

I think CZ makes the 527 in that backwards LH configuration. I have two in Fireball and Hornet. They will shoot.

CZ makes the 223 but not a hornet in the LH model.

You could just re-barrel a small bolt-face Left hand Savage action, no gunsmith needed. $230 Shaw pre-chambered, pre-threaded barrel in your choice of twist, length and Savage contour.

Here's a Savage varmint rig I built on a right hand action in 222 Rem, very accurate and has one an Egg Shoot for me. I has a 20" varmint contour.

With the proliferation of democratic controlled state legislature you might want to twist it a little faster to shoot 40 & 50gr Lead Frees. My earlier comment was before the last election. I'm already working up loads for my 22-204 and 6mm-204 with lead free ballistic tips. I don't want to end up gnashing my teeth over the ban like the guy's did over waterfowl, I'd rather be out hunting instead of scrambling for ammo. I've killed a number of coyotes with them and they work just fine. I do need to work with some lighter weights for varmints.
