Anybody use a washer or shim to make a zero stop for the SHV 3-10?

https://zer-ostop.com/shop?olsPage=products%2Fnightforce-shv I haven’t used it but if I wasn’t selling my 3-10 SHV I would get it a whirl.

The website is lacking a little detail on instructions, do you know if they will send you a spacer to your desired height or do you sand it as necessary? I wasn't really sure from their pictures.

Looks like I found the answer to my own question. There is one picture on their website that captioned sand down to fit. That must be the answer.

After looking closer at mine it appears that a spacer below like Zer-O-Stop Luke posted is the way to go. A nylon washer that has an ID of .810 and approximately .140 thick is going to be close. The spline of the the adjustment cap and the the brass adjustment has enough room for vertical play so the spacer won't have to the exact thickness needed. Obviously the more spline contact the better.

I ordered one of the zer-o-stop ones listed above. I'll report back how it does.

I really like that little SHV I will be sad to see it go. Why are you setting it free? Basically 3 reasons. 1)I am slowly going to MILs on all my scopes as my simpleton brains thinks better is small numbers and decimals than larger numbers and fractions (reality either works just fine and not a big deal going back and forth really) 2)I like the reticle on the LRHS better even if it is 4 oz heavier. 3)I wanted a true zero stop, and exposed elevation turret for the rifle it was going on. Don't get me wrong its a great scope for sure, just not best suited for my particular needs or wants really compared to some other options. Who knows maybe I will be getting another one sometime down the road.

Nice, Thanks! I'm gonna order one for the SHV riding on my new 7 Mashburn build, already have a hell of a load built with the 160 Accubonds at 3258 fps.
