I recently aquired a Mod. 30AW .30-30 in a large misc. purchase. There is no stock or fore grip, the barrel is in bad shape internally and seems to be slightly bent and the receiver will have to be blued, but it was basically free. I already have a Marlin .30-30 and .35 Rem. I have always liked the .375 Win. caliber and was wondering where I could find a barrel in this chambering. It would be strictly a hand-loading affair so keeping the pressures safe wouldn't be an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Because this barrel is bent I cannot have it re-bored. Numerich Gun Parts was the first place I looked, and of course they are "Sold Out". Does anyone out there sell new barrels, or is there somewhere to get a good used barrel? I would hate to spend the money on a new barrel and then another $250 on a re-bore job. Then again I'd hate to let this action continue to collect dust.

Check ebay and the Marlinowners site. They pop up now and then.

Lilja has the factory contour
http://riflebarrels.com/factory-contours/

And Green Mountain has octagon 38-40 blanks (that I think will work with the 30-30 bolt)

Octagon barrels come with file marks and need to be polished before bluing.

His link is listed above .. he maybe be able have a barrel laying around ..He has done a 38-55 and rechambered a 35 Rem to 356 for me ... I also have purchased a couple of rifles from him ... Great guy , great work ..
