Just count holes in Horns and legs... it is common picture. I should not expect better answer from such "hunters" for they do not have it. You guys really make a bad picture on hunting...
It is all just simple, if cannot come close for "sure" shot just leave it alone.
Smokepole: might be your ballistic shows some zigzaging. Look better and turn light on, e.g at Barnes or Sako or ..., ballistic data... Uf 600 meter? are you using missile (which brand is it) from your distance or some other secret weapon...

Hunt very sneaky for to get closer. Use scope to look see, good hunters don’t need binoculars they only look where game is .binoculars take long time game get away.

As I know, anyone shooting at any Animal (except Coyote) at distance longer than 250 m is not a Hunter but an idiot, or sport-"hunter" who even do not take the killed Animal, just because only a few in N.A. can consistently shoot "accurately" (means: kill quick) at that large distance.
So what is for long-range Hunting. Is long-range associated only with target shooting? Is 250 m distance long-range? You should try it after putting a scope on your gun.

AS I KNOW, it is 300 m, but I shorten it to 250 m, no animal will run away if a man is at even much shorter distance than 250 m. Each Hunter should make any afford to not wound an Animal but to make quick kill.
At 250 m bullet drop is enough (just below 0.7 m) to miss and Moose, all of other being perfect. But add many other problem, like wind, bullet energy is around half of muzzle energy,... there are great chance to wound an Animal and never recover it, especially Elk.
But this is the whole another story, and if you guys do knows it, and keep wounding Animals, well it is different problem.

I see many times wording as "Long-Range", but what it means is all I asked (is it 1000 m or 100 m, or ...). What is definition for Long-Range? and why Long and NO-Long range. Where is the threshold? Granted I only read about half a page, but you are one dumb MF
