I am looking to purchase a Shot Timer for personal use with friends. Primary purpose will be timing first round fired, and total shot string time for CCDW practice. Attributes in order of importance:

1) Ease of use - I am 60 years old. KISS level controls and buttons.
2) Buy once, cry once - Not interested in buying the absolute cheapest thing on the market and having to replace it in a month or two.
3) Cost - Not looking to break the bank on the most expensive tool on the market where I will never use 90% of the capability. Having said that, #1 and #2 are still more important.

I did a quick search, but could not find any references in this forum. IF there is another 24HCF forum that would be more appropriate, please point me in that direction. Midway offers the following two items. Both are in my price band:

Competition Electronics Pro Shot 2

PACT Club Shot 3

Thank you !

If you have a smart phone, there are a few apps that can do it for you, no charge. It will give you a taste of a shot timer anyway before you buy. I am sure they are not as reliable as a purpose built unit.

Both of your links came up with the same product. We use the Pact 3 for several shooting events monthly and they are very reliable. If you are shooting 22 or 9mm PCC they can miss some shots if you do not put the mic toward the shot. One of the members has this one:

or this one:

and it has pretty good sensitivity with the 22/9mm.

My choice was this https://www.brownells.com/shooting-accessories/range-gear/shot-timers/club-timer-iii-prod22885.aspx.
Why I bought the PACT - Big simple buttons.
Why I bought from Brownells - "100% Forever Guarantee" Remember all electronic things are made as cheaply as possible by all companies.
