A good friend of mine hunted rhino there with them. Loved it and I met them at DSC last year and again this year as my OP describes. I'd rather go to Tanzania or Moz, but as I posted originally, this is more than a hunt for me.

Congrats Jorge, cant think of anything that sucks more than the WAIT. The flight HOME... Well that's a depressing addition to a happy thread!

Are you considering taking the 405 over?

I've never been interested in history other than American war history, though the British aristocrats of the Victorian era and their worldwide conquests are an exception.
That sounds like quite the trip. Jealous here...

Are you considering taking the 405 over? Not at this time. I really want to take that custom 338 for PG and know it will work on buffalo with the right bullet. If I take it, it would be as a third rifle. My original thoughts was for a Tanzanian safari where taking two buffalo is more doable than in Zim and certainly not in RSA. Still, I'm good with it out to 150 plus and it would be cool to take the sable or gemsbok with it. crap, another decision to ponder. Now when I go back for bison, the 405 will probably get the nod over my cantankerous Sharps. With 300gr TSXs or North Forks it will certainly do what the 110 does. I also have some NF solids that will shoot through anything

Congrats Jorge. You bastard. Headed to the show right now, to see if I can dream up some foreign mischief ideas in 19 or 20.

I also have some NF solids that will shoot through anything I am heading to Burkina Faso (buffalo, roan, hartebeest, ...) in 2019 and whilst my 357 H&H makes perfect sense and is the current plan I really want to take my Browning 71 Carbine as well.

A 71 in Africa, now there's an idea! Although Hatari's taken his 99s to Africa a few times. And again, Ed, a preemptive thanks for the 348 brass....
