To many people, cilantro does indeed taste like soap. Claudia and I are two. I know others like it, but it's just plain BAD to those of us with that gene, or that enzyme, or whatever the heck it is. Tastes like soap to me too, but I've acquired a taste for it. Diet soda, on the other hand, tastes like hair spray and I'll never develop a taste for that!

I'm with you on the cilantro, it ruins a good salad or damn near anything else for me.
Fish tacos though? are you fing loco? That's good eats buddy, best ones I've had were in PV. But even the halibut tacos next door are pretty danged good.
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

He's in Minnesota, odds are he's never had a real taco meat or fish  I guess I'm fortunate that cilantro tastes like cilantro to me, good stuff on mexican and thai dishes. Not a big fan of regular parsley strangely enough.

Not that there's anyone on here that actually works for a living,but have you ever been digging a hole and smelled Ivory soap?Well,I'm not sure what the wife has been using for personal protection?...or if it's some new scent du jour?..but something in our front living room stinks like ivory soap?Too smart to ask her about it but..... I've noticed it when I hit an ant colony while digging.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

But seriously, one of my grandfathers - a full fledged Norwegian - would wrap cold lutefisk in lefse and gobble it down.. I don't like it cold - but prepared correctly, that's some good chit... Unfortunately - it's gotten to the price per pound equaling lobster... Total BS...
