What's the thought on 358 Winchester as a subsonic round? and a question to the subsonic guys, can you achieve good results with a short barrel?

I have no intentions of getting a can for mine but I will say 357 handgun bullets are crazy cheap and 110 XTPs sub sonic are not overly loud and very little recoil (feels like a 22 mag) and plenty accurate at 50 yards. Fun to plink and maybe quasi practical as a small game round in my 16" barrel 358 win.

I couldn't find the post on the cast bullet forum I was looking for but here's some links you might be interested in. Lot's of subsonic loads and talk.

Kinda the opposite of Subsonic at 3,310 FPS, but using a pistol bullet.

125 gr pills in a .358W

Looks FUN!!!

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

how short is the barrel, Trail Boss Blue Dot just to mention 2 there are a number of powders that will achieve what you are looking for I shoot a 308 win at 1050Fps and a 35 Remington reduced with PC pistol bullets real slow 10" to 15" barrels

if you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine
