I adopted this orphan the other day. Original owner had the stock refinished and a decelerator pad added. 5 digit Classic Featherweight.

Very nice, love the colors on the whelen with the low power Nikon, very practical set-up.

I can’t remember if I put this up. P64 270 Winchester. Sweet little rifle. Not hard to figure out why those Featherweights were so sought after.

Hey Scotty. The pre 64 fwts are still sought after.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Ha ha. They are damned good. I also like the xtr fwts and classics, as well. The bacos are nice too, but seem to be fatter/preagnent looking. I don't know why Browning swayed away from some of the finer points of the original model 70?????

I don't know why Browning swayed away from some of the finer points of the original model 70????? Without a doubt. I’ve got a Classic 6.5 Swede and an XTR 7x57 but neither feels quite as good as the P64’s. Even with a stubbier grip they feel great in my paws. The bonus part was ol Bob had originally found my 270, passed it to another friend in our circle and I was able to grab it. I love it so far. Really thinking I might hunt it this fall alongside the Mashburn. Just feels right.

Oh, agree on the Bacos. Had a 300 WSM. Super quality rifles but the stock didn’t work for me.

26" Lilja. I can't recall if it's a number 2 or number 3.
