In 1974 someone gave me THE BOOK by Alan Watts 1966 because some of the things I was figuring out sounded like the book.

Same scopes I use....sharing the philosophy of choice.

I showed it to a few people and they said "I get it!" or "I don't get it?"

I've always advocated, and train the officers, SNCOs and NCOs under me, to gain as much info as can be quickly gathered, then act on that in a purposeful fashion. Whether it was "right" or "wrong" is only revealed once the action is taken, and like sniping, the feedback informs the next shot, which should be a kill shot.

We as a people spend too much time dithering around. We were founded by people with a purpose, and we gain the most being purposeful.

Back in 1972 someone tried to tell me that Alan Watts and Timothy Leary got kicked out of Harvard together, but from looking at the wikipedia pages, is seems one left in 1963 and one left in 1964.
