I love movies but hate the Hollywood scene. Tonight we will watch ZULU, followed by BLACKHAWK DOWN , if we are still awake we will then play ROOTS backwards.

All accompanied by a large pitcher of Tanquerey and Tonic.

I always found the "power off" button on the remote to work like a charm.

We find ourselves listening to a lot more music and watching a lot less television these days. It might not be much of a stretch to toss the tv one day, to much content that is either insulting or embarrassing. Award show being an example of poor content.

I may have to fire up Netflix and watch “The Siege of Jadotville.” Again. But it’s a good one.

Fugg the Oscars & Hollyweird! I’m about to fire up Netflix.

I dumped Netflix after they produced "Dear White People"... Wife and I watch Nature and travel stuff on YouTube now... listing to Brad Taylor's Operator Down on Audible tonight... Over all I'm probably spending more on Audible and Kindle books than I ever did on Hollywood films.... but I'm OK with that.

I says to the wife....Oh, schit...we missed the Oscars!

We have never watched, but its nice to make a scene once in a while. Pun intended? I am too drunk for puns probably...

Anyway, kids ask "what are the Oscars?"

I says "well, kids....its a group of some of the ugliest, no good people in the world who get together and congratulate each other for being ugly and no good".

I think I nailed it!

Watched the new Top Gear opener. "Beat Bobby Flay" on now. Screw the oscars.

Me and many more are in the minority. So many so called Americans adore and worship these multi millionaires who exploit them. They abuse all to many wiling young women, who are an immature and emotional mess. If they were not so they would refuse to be alone with any one, slap a pervert in the face and go to the police. Instead, all to often they claim shock and are afraid it will hurt their career if they speak up, what ever.

Any way, I do not watch the Oscars as it is a bunch of self adoration by folks that live in Fantasy Land. They, for the most part, disgust me. They make millions taking their clothes off, engaging in fantasy sex, shooting the world up with guns and glorifying crime. Then have the nerve to come out against law abiding patriotic Americans claiming their God given 2nd Amendment right to fire arms. The majority of those supporting and worshiping them like it. Wowser!

If we ever get to the place in our country where we have a real large scale break down in our society and the roving gangs hit the suburbs and cities, they will feed on each other.

Watched the Ballad of Lefty Brown tonight.

Beautiful Montana landscapes but the acting seemed a little tortured to me.

I amuse myself all the time. I like to practice my draw from my kitbag while on the treadmill. I turn on Fox News and every time I see a politician I draw and fire. Combines exercise and stress relief.

I "liked" movies when they were really movies ...not the crap
that they churn out now.
I remember the Oscars when the actresses were Glamorous and
the actors were Suave and Sophisticated.
And
the Master of Ceremonies had a "funny" monologue and
quips during the event that were even funnier!
But
Long gone are the Marilyn Monroes, Cary Grants and Bob Hopes!
Now
It's Degenerates celebrating their Deviancy and lord...are they
bhutt fugly!
