Nikon's BLACK RangeX 4K is one of 2 new rangefinder's Nikon has coming out very soon. This post is to just make you aware of it and hopefully you wwill be interested enough to check it out.
If you get a chance check out the new MONARCH 3000 Stabilized too. Both of these rangefinder's are under $450.

Man...a buddy of mine sent this same link to me earlier today. Very impressed with this review, especially based on the price. My buddy and I both may be picking up one of these in the near future. What's the expected release date? Thanks

Thank you for the replies, Guy's. This and the MONARCH 3000 Stabilized should be great addition's to Nikon's rangefinder line-up.

Interested to see the reviews on the 3000.

Some of you have asked me for review's of Nikon's MONARCH 3000 Stabilized. Here's a video you might enjoy giving you some details and hands on use.

Would like to see how far it will range deer, etc. He ranged some, but none at significant distance.

1200 + on soft target's. I think the furthest I have ranged a deer in KS is 599 yards with Nikon's 7iVR.

Time will tell on how good they perform, but I find these two Nikon products very interesting. This is the type of tech that keeps me from buying bino/rf combo units.

Any plans to make the 4K model image stabilized? I was very impressed with the stabilized 3000 rangefinder when I saw it at SHOT. Considering how light rangefinders are, adding stabilization is a really good idea. I am testing a Sig rangefinder right now and while I like it quite a bit, stabilization would really be helpful. I wonder why the 3000 model is stabilized and 4000 isn't.

At this timne I do not think so. It used to be 440 yards was a long range finder then 600, 800,1000 then 1200 yards. I guess with longrange shooter's the sky is the limit. Nikon's MONARCH 3000 Stabilized should do everything I want it to for a long time.
I really thought the 7iVR was the top of the heap when it came out 2 years ago. I never had the need to range anything beyond 800 yards using that one but now I have a place where I can double that distance.
I do not think I will ever use another rangefinder that does not have image stabilization built in to it, it really is that helpful.

I got a Nikon Black Rangex 4K model in a few days ago.

Bright sun, ranging rocks and buildings out to 1800-2K pretty well.

After sundown, twilight, ranged a building at 3904 yards.

So far I'm happy with it.
