Am I right thinking that the bolt face is the same ... WSMs vs belted mag? Would a 700 WSM be a good donor action for a .350 Rem Mag build? Would there be anything more than barrel, mag box, and maybe follower needed?
Speculate, please?

I went the opposite direction with one once and it worked fine with nothing but a barrel.

Bolt face is the same.I have a Ruger 77 mk II in 350 mag. When the lawsuit hit over the WSMs Ruger discontinued all WSM chamberings. The 350 mags were produced on WSM actions to use them up. Everything was WSM except the barrel.
The only problem I had was feeding. Which Ruger fixed. Was told the feed ramp for the WSM did not play nice with the 350 mag due to the slight difference in shoulder location and angle. True or not or apply to all WSM going to 350 who knows. All I know is after I got the rifle back it is the slickest feeding bolt action I own. Would not say what they did to eliminate the problem. Can tell there was some work done on the feed ramp. Could not of been major work as I had the gun back in about ten days with shipping both ways.
So barrel is all you should need mag box and follower should be the same they are on my Ruger. Maybe you will have to do some tuning to getting it to feed. If you can set it up to accept a longer overall length I would. I can my Ruger with a OAL of 2.950. Nice to have an option to load longer and get some more powder space. I can run the Barnes 180 tipped TSX at nearly 3100 fps loaded at 2.900.

Contact Mule Deer, he did an article on the 9.3 BS wildcat he helped design. 350 based and chambered in a short mag action. He claims they work great with 6.5 and 350 mag.

It is a simple change. My Kimber Montana 270 WSM is being finished now in 350 Remington Mag with a Hart barrel. 'Smith researched before he accepted, simple swap, but as mentioned may need to make some changes for feeding but that may not be required.

The Ruger is a controlled round feed so needed some work to the feed ramp and rails. On a push feed it should be a simple rebarrel.

Realy nice 350 Rem Mag in the Classifieds right now
Throttle fixes everything. If it doesn't fix the problem, it’ll end the suspense.

Speculate, please? First off, I have a rem custom shop mod 7 ks .350 mag. Have killed deer, bear and hogs with it. What are you looking to gain? Recoil is abundant and brass isn't. Why convert? I would just buy a .350 and then decide if you want to keep it or the 300 wsm

I did this with a 270WSM and it worked perfect. Zero feeding issues with zero mods or special parts. This was a Rem 700 SPS SS.

The is a screaming deal on what looks to be a very nice Rem 660 in 350 in the classifieds. I commented there, if that helps you find it.
I can't see me using it, and I don't need anymore safe fillers, or it would be mine by now. The 660 has a sucky bolt release, and some think the bolt handle odd. But the design is very compact, with a 20" barrel it is similay to a M7 with 18 1/2, and the bolt handle works great. I have a 308 in a Brown stock, it is a great gun if you hunt. I can carry it by the grip, with a straight arm and it won't touch the ground.
