Has anyone tried it? I’ve seen a big improvement with 26 running heavies in other cartridges.
Curious about 75’s in the swift.

Thanks

My shooting buddy used that combo a couple summers ago to scoot 75 Amax's at 3550 fps. We took it out to 1200 yards and it was impressive. I believe his barrel was 26" or so, maybe even more, and a 9" twist. Bullets were stable at 5,000 and 7,700 feet ASL.

He toasted the throat running so many of those suckers, and sometimes very rapidly, and is currently shopping for a new tube for this summer to run the same setup.(except with ELD's, of course...)

Thanks for the reply! The barrel I’m working with is 1 in 8. Do you know any of the load data?

Thanks

I don't remember how much powder he ended up at, but I could ask and find out. We went off of this:

With an 8" twist you should be good to go. I bet you'll love it. But I'd suggest trying to avoid hearing the barrel up. My buddy would just shoot as fast as he could load them, and he'd have to seat the next 50 round batch a little further out every time he reloaded them. No joke. Eventually he couldn't get near the lands with a bullet still in the case, and accuracy was gone.
