The word "slightly" does not apply. That rifle is gorgeous. I hope it shoots as well as it looks.

100% my work.....with some advice from ASSRA forums about strength of the action. The barrel is a blank from Shaw and machined as you see it in my shop....and no....I rarely do "smithing" for others.....

I particularly like the for end details.

What you have done is not nearly as important as how you have done it!!!

Reminds me that I have a 1915 that that needs ejector repair. It still shoots well but I'd like it fixed to give to a youngster.

It can be a bear to do that.....I fought it all the way and finally got it done.....I strongly recommend Jim Wisner's shop as he makes the ejectors and might be harranged into installing one.
google wisner's gun parts for his address and see if he will install one. It's a simple thing to send him only the action and Jim is a very accomplished smith.

While it's there, I'd also strongly advise to have him install new breechblock screws as they are of higher tensile and the Steven's model 1915 was marginal in this area

I blooded it on a Minnesota sriped gopher lately....the little 17 nearly bisected the gopher.....it's accuracy is all I would ask for without a scope..
