This is a very scarce factory original Savage Model 20 stock, uncut, which came off a 300 Sav. chambered rifle. It has original sling bases, plus the barrel escutcheon and screw and sleeve.
The stock has been cracked and repaired at the wrist (visible on left side). There is also a partial crack through the center of the action interior. However no crack shows at either the top or bottom tang or at the recoil lug. The crack seems stable and could be used as-is, or could be reinforced further (with pins?) or by someone good at this (I'm not). This stock is well suited for restoring a vintage Savage 20 rifle that no longer has an original stock, or one that has been shortened at butt or forend.
