Florida has some nice places, there are a lot worse places to live. No income tax. It's hot and humid half the year but the blonds wear shorts most of the year and cold beer goes down good when it's hot. The fishing is good and there is hunting. North Florida has a lot of woods. Plus there are lots of scantily clad women half the year.

I think I've posted this at least a dozen times in the past two years but I'll post it again.

I don't do April Fool's jokes on the internet any more because people take them seriously and it causes undue emotional strain.

Thank you for posting that for the 13th time.
I really was under a lot of emotional strain, I’m relieved now.

Clark/Frank/Fred/Deflave will have to become a reptile hunter, kinda like the Steve Irwin of SFL.

Isn't the bass fishing real good down that way?

I wasn't referring to you but the fact you think I was is pretty telling.

Hahaha...

I may end up closer to Cuba than Disneyworld. Oh well.

The biggest largemouth I ever caught was just a little bit north of there in Plantation, it was 11 pounds some odd ounces. Caught peacock in the same lake.

Those old age developments with lakes have some stunning fish, same if you can get in on a golf course. Don't be afraid to tote a bucket of the biggest shiners you can buy.

You'll also get into plenty of snook and juvenile tarpon in the canals. I prefer the little tarpons, you don't need to devote an afternoon to landing just one and they still jump.

Snook are king of backwater fishing to me

And if you feel the need to grab a snook you just brought in through the gills, DON'T.

Wow! Good to know. I would not have thought of the Tarpon unless you posted this.

11lb bass is crazy. I think the biggest I ever caught was 6 or 7 and I was thrilled.

They'll be in the 1 1/2 to 3 foot range.

You'd be amazed at how many species you can pull out of one canal.

Bring your flyrod, this is about 2-3 miles offshore, running and gunning the weed lines. I think a flyrod is a great way to fish for dolphin when you find them. I had cast out to a few smaller ones and this one came up off my port side. I just popped the line up and laid the fly in front of him.

With a spinning real, you'll spending an extra 10 seconds trying to reel your shiet in. This was off Jupiter

You can get into some crazy good sailfishing in the late winter down there. We've had a dozen or so in a morning.

Fl Strain Black Bass and Peacock Bass in the fresh water, Tarpon, Snook and other goodies in the salt and brackish canals, awesome flats fishing in Fl Bay, awesome blue water fishing out in the Atlantic. If you are going to live in that area (and it is not the best part of Fl) fishing is much better than hunting. You will need to have the jack for a boat if you are going to spend any time on Fl Bay, or even bigger money for offshore.

What is the best part of Florida?

How much will a decent boat run to take advantage of this area?
