Does anyone make a decent set of (non-see through) scope bases/rings for pre-safety 94 AE carbines? I would like to low mount a low power variable on mine. Thanks, Joe

Weaver base and Weaver low rings will get you pretty low. A fixed power scope is the way to go, or the adjusting ring will be hitting the hammer. Good luck

Thank You!!! You guys saved me a lot of time and aggravation. I was in Cabelas yesterday looking for a set but didn't see anything. Much appreciated, Joe.

FWIW the first 94 Big Bores in .307 (and proly .356) had front base screws across, not going in line w bbl.
I got one, and never could find a base for the front.
Didn't matter, it was horrible shooting.
Buddy had to have it.............tried everything.................total turd.
Shame...........it had great bluing and wood.
