Have a BPS 10 gauge and have tried a few chokes in it . A turkey x-tra full factory , a Kicks Hi Flyer Modified , and a Briley slightly modified . Seem to get a variety of patterns in all of them , anywhere from two to nine pellets of 00 buck Federal in a 12"x12" target at 35yds . The Dead Cyote doesn't seem to pettern well in any of the chokes , and far as my searches go , they are the only two buckshot loads available for the 10 gauge . Any body here have a choke that works consistently ? Thanks , Kenneth

Have you tried just cylinder bore or improved cylinder?

Never tried buckshot in my Pattern Master when I had it but no matter what steel or lead loads I shot through the tube it always gave good to super patterns, never a poor pattern at all.
I would be tempted to give it a try or maybe a buckshot specific choke for the 10.
What are your intended uses for the buckshot?

I have a smooth ore 24” barrel with rifle sights for my Mossberg, it was listed as a slug barrel but it also shoots buckshot very well, especially if you’re hunting within 25 yards or so. If I put the 28” barrel on it shoots better with im cyl or mod the best, depending on which load I use.

Here's another option if you want to spend a little cash. http://www.kicks-ind.com/product/BKBrowning10g.html

Patternmasters were originally designed for buckshot. That's where I would start and likely stop

In my younger days when I did a lot of deer hunting with dogs, light mod and modified chokes were the most popular in our group for 12 gauge, OO Buckshot.
Timely for me, I am in the process of getting new chokes for my SP-10. It will mainly be used for turkey but I am thinking about getting another choke to use for buckshot as a deer trailing gun. Kicks Chokes seem interesting.

I use a pattern master in a SBE 1 12 GA with 3 1/2 00 buck and it works great. You are also getting the benefit of delivering the entire load with no shot string. I.E., all of the pellets hit target at same time. Every deer I have ever shot with the pattern master has been dead right there. I have an SP-10 as well but have never run any buckshot through it. I keep a Kicks turkey choke in this gun and it only comes out in the spring.
