I recently bought a pound of RL16 to try in my 280. I tried a load of 51.5 grs, which according to Alliant is max, with a 154 SST bullet. Load shot well under MOA at 100 yds. Actually it was .416! I've also tried in my 7-08 with really good results as well.
I'm interested in whether anyone else has tried RL16 in their 280 Rem, and if so, but what has been your results?

I have always loaded powders in the H4350, Re19, IMR4831 and H4831sc burn rate in my .280 with 130 - 160 grain bullets. I'd be interested to see your velocities with Re16.

I have a bunch of Reloder 16 on hand but never tried it in my 280 Rem.
Been running Reloder 26 with 175 gr ELD-X at 2875 FPS with 23 inch barrel and that seems to be getting the job done
Curiosity killed the cat, But for a while I was a suspect.

Use RL16 in my 30/06 and my 270 Winchester. in 30/06 I have used it with up to 165gr Ballistic Tips.
Best powder for 130gr TTSX in 30/06 so far. Also good with 150gr Barnes TTSX or Accubonds.
RL16 gets 3400fps with 110gr Barnes TTSX in my Sako A7 24" barrel 270 Winchester.
I think it would be great for Bullet weights under 165gr.
