A buddy took water out to a ranch we hunt in Agua Nueva, and look what he came home with. Two bucks and a doe ran past him. 150yd running shot with an AR. Something you don't see every day.

KMS, I have seen a good sized bunch of free range Scimitar horned oryx around Agua Nueva, but I have never seen Red deer over there, Good for your friend that should fill his freezer. Rio7

It's just a little 80 acre low fenced ranch inside the Jones Ranch. He said the first shot hunched him up. The second took him down. That was with the 64gr NBSB. I'm impressed!

That's cool. I passed on a big ass 6x6 elk, late one evening near Rock Springs. I didn't feel like fugging with that big bastard.

Kms,I had a disabled vet that couldn't handle any recoil shoot a 6x6 bull elk with my .223 and a 55gr. mk at about 80 yrds last season dropped him in he's tracks, hit him in the heart, I had my cross hairs on him as I just knew I was going to have to back him up. Rio7

Matt said the bullets bounced around in it's chest and made a real mess inside.

I was just on a free range place near Del Rio..no red stags but plenty of Axis and Aoudad, and pigs of course. That 64 NBSB is a wicked little bullet...if you can get them to shoot. I shot a couple deer with them and actually found the damage to be what Id consider excessive. In any event, that stag is a real 'freezer pleaser'!

KMS, Been looking for the pictures of that 6x6, but they are wandering around somewhere in one of my picture files, anyway the 55 gr. MK took out 1 rib blew off the top off the heart then disappeared, did not exit but it killed the hell out of him. Rio7

Shot my first Red Stag in S. Texas. Quite a bit more tasty meat than the Whitetail I was waiting on.
He was free range. He scored about 350. I was sitting water on a VERY hot day & all of these white antler tips emerged from the Mesquites. The 165 Accubond from my 300 WSM put his lights out.
