Hey Mike,

I have a good bit of land here in Alabama with deer of similar quality to the ones that you posted. It costs me more than you charge to plant food plots and run feeders to hunt on my own land.

I think your prices are more than fair. I'm not sure I'd sell an opportunity at one of my bucks for the money that you charge. It costs money to raise mature free ranging bucks, even on land you already own.

Do you have Rio Turkeys? I would like to find a place to come hunt them.

I hunted south of Ozona from 1974 to 1981. We killed some good deer on that lease. It was open on top, big canyons with juniper in the bottoms. It was owned by a guy named Bob Childress. He had a lot of property in that area. We were paying 210.00 per gun, no telling what it goes for now. It was the most enjoyable place I ever hunted. Only bad thing was the 425 mile drive. We got off to hunt south Texas, tower stands on Sendero hunting. We were off FM 1973.

You sir understand what goes into it all and why it can get so expensive, its nice to see someone who understands.
I have a bunch of Rio's on a several of our ranches and I offer several hunt options for them but can adjust to fit your needs

I hunt about 45 minutes south of Ozona on a few ranches there in the Juno and Devils River area. I love that area, its about a 400 mile drive for me each time but I have gotten used to it
over the years. Some good deer and Aoudad in that country.

There wasn’t any Aoudads there in that country back then, there are a lot in Burnet on the place I hunt now. Are there feral hogs out there or will that country support them? Aoudads and feral hogs are pests in my opinion. They scare the deer away.

Hogs showed up about 2 years ago. Not a lot of them but enough to where they are causing some trouble.

I have 2 trophy hunts on the Diamond TF available and 2 management hunts. The trophy hunts I have had several inquiries on them but just not confirmed yet.
These will be the only 2 trophy hunts we do on the property this season.

Also I have 3 trophy hunts on the Los Cuernos and 3 management bucks. I could do them all separate or a combo.

Thank You

Have had some scheduling changes over the past couple days so I have put some packages together for more of a group style hunt.
Here is the info. Thank You

They are healthily discounted hunts where we welcome single hunters to sign up or entire groups. Please only
book if you are sure you can make the hunt. Due to the multiple options I will keep the hunt information
short, feel free to call or message for more specifics. Lots of references available.

If you add up what I pay to lease, feeder parts, and corn. The fees you are charging aren’t bad at all.

Living in California I haven't had the opportunity to hunt one of Mikes hunting areas but if you bring up the Texas hunting forum you will see he has a stellar reputation by everyone's comments so don't be afraid to book with him. Lord willing and the creeks don't rise to hope to before I enter the happy hunting grounds.
