Anyone have any experience with the Sierra 6mm, 75 gr HP on coyotes? Just wanting to make sure it won't just pencil through.
Thanks in advance, bludog

In my experience, that bullet will not pencil through a coyote sized animal. It will make a mess outa Mr. Coyote and his pelt. However, my experience is with a 6mm Remington at a muzzle velocity of 3400fps. or so.

MV is just over 3300 fps in my 243 win,and I don't mind making a mess of them, I just want them dead. Thanks for the feedback.

I have tried them in a 240 weatherby. They do not pencil through. Can’t find velocity, but think it was 3500 plus.

I had a nuisance coyote out back, all I had quickly available was the 17 HMR. He stumbled after the shot, then limped off, at least I knew he wouldn’t be back.
When I want them dead, the choice is a 243.

Works great on NM coyotes!

My g8-g8 uncle was Barney Riggs. Google and read about him. He roamed around the southwest, mainly west Tx and Az and NM territory. History credits him with from 9 - 12 men he killed, not counting Mexicans and Indians. Family lore has it at 18.

You should also consider the 80g sierra blitz BT with IMR 4064, accuracy node will be in the 3500 fps area with fed 210.
