Looking at new bows. I have always shot a Mathews and am very impressed with the Triax. Do any of you short this bow and what are your thoughts?

I don’t shoot it, and have not tried it.
Have gone back and forth between Mathews and Hoyt for 20 years. Currently with Hoyt. Both are very good bows. In my experience, you can get people that like and dislike most any bow. What is critical though, is how does it shoot and feel to you.

I have two. A 60 and a 70. It’s the best bow I’ve ever shot, period. Zero vibration after the shot, fast and extremely quiet. It was a breeze to set up and tune.

Admittedly, when they told me they were coming out with a 28” bow I wasn’t impressed. I was worried about the string angle with my 28 1/2” draw. I soon found out it was a nonissue.

I have three bows set up currently. The two Triax’s and an Elite Ritual. I had a Hoyt RX1 set up for a while, but put it on the rack. It was loud, vibrated and I hated the back wall.

You’ll love the Triax.

I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Ordered one today. The bow shop here can’t keep them in stock.

I’ve been a Bowtech junkie since 2003. Last 6 years I’ve shot the flagship bows of Bowtech, Hoyt and Mathews but nothing seemed a step up from my Invasion/Experience/Guardian. This year, after shooting the latest and greatest, I came home with a Triax. For whitetails and hogs from blinds and treestands, it is fantastic. When hunting out west where shots have averaged close to 50yds, I’ll still reach for the longer brace height Bowtechs first. From 40 and under, it shoots lights out. The biggest surprise was the speed and quiet. It shoots within 5-8 fps of my Invasion and Experience. Very impressed!

I do not shoot one, but watched a guy shoot his on the 3D course. I was impressed with how quiet it was and its speed......... I do not like short bows, but if you do, that bow is a winner. The guy got a good deal on it, brand new from the archery store 850.00

Brand New Triax in Elevated 2, 29.5 draw length 70 lbs. Trophy Ridge React one pro sight in Black, Mathews HD 6 arrow, Elevated 2, Beestinger 8/6 flat black kit and QAD MXT in Elevated 2. Traded in my Mathews No Cam HTR for this bow. Extremely, EXTREMELY quiet, dead in hand insane valley and back wall. Pair that with 500gr arrows tipped with slick trick magnums and I hopefully have a helluva elk killing machine.
