My daughter Taylor and I had another great hog hunt in Central FL. I knocked down two decent boars with my Sauer 101 in 338 win mag, and Taylor got a real nice red hog with her Vanguard 308 using her own hand loads with Barnes 130 TTSX. It was a great hunt!

LOL We had a bear walk in on us too. Didn't charge though. Seemed unimpressed with us and walked out. We had TONS of hogs around us but it only lasted a couple minutes. But it was long enough.

WOW! Good pic!

It was 38 degrees when I was there and the instant I shot the only pig I had a chance at I caught movement 20 yards away out of the corner of my eye. It was a sow ( bear..) putting her cub up a tree, and she was open for business!

I talked her out of it, luckily or there would have been a LOT of explaining to do!

That pig your daughter got was a good 'un!

Very nice indeed. Congrats to both daughter and dad. Great times there.

Nice hunt. I havn’t hunted with those guys, but it looks like they have a pretty good supply of hogs there. I mostly hunt hogs near Lake O, which is much closer to my house.

Nice pigs! I've always liked the red ones. My BIL had been chasing a red one for a few months but could never get a shot, and one afternoon he shot a muddy ol' sow not far from a drainage ditch. When we took her back to camp and washed her off, all we could see was copper hair underneath all that mud. Congrats on those pigs.

Thank you guys! Yea she is really excited about the red one. She wants to have a half body mount done. Should look pretty cool when done. Now if we can just find a place this year to get her a doe in FL.
