Big book, over 500 pages. Bowden also wrote "Black Hawk Down". He covers both sides and also gets into how the Johnson Administration tried to minimize how bad it was for our side and how most of the liberal media tried to maximize it. Any way you look at it there were a whole lot of people including Americans killed there. Over 24 days there were over 10,000 combatant and civilian lives lost. It was considered "the pivotal moment of the American War in Vietnam." There are lot of personal experiences from the people who involved in it. Took me a while to get through it but IMO a good read.
