This 400+ page book from 2015 is about Will Robie, a special asset for an alphabet agency, who loses his ability to pull the trigger. Needing a break he takes the down time to go back to Mississippi, which he left over 20 years prior to help his father who has been arrested for murder. Their relationship has been nonexistent for the past 20 years. And it doesn't get any better. His father, a lawyer and judge in the small town, wants no help,
He has a fairly new wife and a small child. Will goes about helping anyway, and in the process he unearths lot of small town secrets that lead to big money, oil, gambling and murders, including a serial murderer.
An entertaining read.
