John, I think I have most of your books, but I don't think I've ever seen you do a chapter on handloading for the 300 WSM. Have I missed something? I know you've said you owned one.

Actually, I've owned three. There's a chapter on handloading the .300 WSM in the upcoming GUN GACK II, scheduled to appear around October 1st.

John do you still own one of them? I sold mine as it really was not needed for the Deer I hunt. It was Kimber Classic and a nice gun.

Right now I have a walnut-stocked Model 70 assembled in Portugal, which shoots very well.

Actually, I've owned three. Now that I'm retired I may just play around with some new loads for my Savage Mod 10 so chambered. Because it also shoots very well. In my experience the 300 WSM gets the lowest extreme spreads in velocity over the chrono of all the umpteen different rifle cartridges that I load. Could that be due to the "short fat" powder column? Like we always heard of as one of those mysterious, magical, ballistic benefits of a certain case design. Whatever it is.... at least it shoots good.
