Judicial Watch has obtained IRS documents showing that a key high-ranking McCain Staffer, (Henry Kerner), met with Lerner, Steve Miller, then chief of staff to IRS commissioner, Nikole Flax, and other IRS officials on April 30, 2013, and stated, "Maybe the solution is to audit so many that it is financially ruinous.” In response, Lerner responded that “it is her job to oversee it all."

The IRS previously blacked out the notes of the meeting but Judicial Watch found the notes among subsequent documents released by the agency.

The motives were simple. The GOPe leadership were being challenged by Tea Party primary candidates. Power was being confronted. The professional republican party was in full alignment with the Obama administration in removing the existential threat represented by the challenge to their political power and incumbency. McConnell, Hatch, Burr, Graham, McCain, Cornyn, Corker et al, were willing to do anything and everything to get rid of the challenges to their political power.



Bottom line: John McCain was instrumental in supporting the weaponization of the IRS to target tea party groups.

You know, I'm beginning to think this cancer thing he has is a sham. Someone with his type of brain cancer rarely lasts a year after being diagnosed. And his head would show disfigurement and enlargement at this stage. His isn't. I think it's b*llsh*t.

I had 2 friends that died of it more then 20 years ago, they both lasted 2 years. Cancer treatment nowadays is a whole lot better.

We can all cry fowl about the mess but in truth we caused it and we perpetuate it by re-electing these monsters. The evidence is everywhere and easy to see if you look. Since elected Trump has been resisted at every turn by his own party and we damned well know who's in charge of that.

Now we know why Sessions refused to investigate and prosecute Lois Learner.

I still believe that the USA is the best country in the world and there's nowhere else I would want to live, but cotdammit, this kind of [bleep] is getting ridiculous. If folks in power keep doing the things that they have been doing that is now coming to light I'm afraid we're going to eventually face some sort of civil war.
