Nice rig, time to go fishing.
A gun in the hand is worth more than the entire police force on the phone.

Hard to beat a St. Croix rod. Of any variety.

This rod will be for trolling and casting lures for med to large trout. I’ve been using a Shimano bass rod for years (decades). It’s too stiff for trout, and too long to fit in my rod case.
This new set up should be perfect, and fits in the case. Next weekend, it's off to the high country.

Those rods are made up in Park Falls, Wisconsin and when ever I got up that way to call on the paper mill there, I'd just need to take some time to head over to their showroom and wiggle some rods. I especially liked their three piece pack rod for jigging walleyes. Guys see a carbon fiber rod at Walmart and think that it is the same thing that comes from St. Croix or G. Loomis. Nope, we also wound carbon fiber ultra low inertia idlers for industrial use and there are like four different fulfillment strengths of carbon fiber. Then there is carbon fiber braid, carbon fiber blended with fiber glass and then winding angles and pultrusion.
My other auto is a .45

The new rod got broken in today. 22", 4 lb German and a 20" Bow, half a dozen others. Those 20"+ Browns are exactly why I wanted this rig .

Good work. Doesn't look rocky enough for Courtright; Wishon, Huntington?
