I heard from the family earlier but now see the AP has a blip that guide Art Ward and his wife are missing and three days overdue on a flight between Salcha and McCarthy

Wishing that they're found safe w/o injury.
My friend Larry that used to live in Glennallen had to put his Super Cub down more than once on a poor river wash or some other place. Broke the wheel struts off once. Crossing my fingers and praying that they're both found quickly.

Let's hope for the best as there's lotsa wilderness in there.
Weather here has been rainy with afternoon thunderclouds and wind bursts.
Military air traffic in this area is very heavy at this time.

Their boys have been flying for the past three days when weather allowed and now the Coast Guard and CAP are working on it.

My daughter and wife have their grandkids while the family deals with the search .
It is amazing how large this state is when you have to start looking into all the canyons and crevasses a pilot might choose

Nothing yet, they've got 20 aircraft searching the area. I'm hoping they were able to land it somewhere without injury or worse.

Sarah, the youngest daughter, just posted on Facebook that the wreckage was located today at the foot of Mt Hayes .there were no survivors
