I am looking for a Winchester 94 Legacy .38-55, 26 inch with round or octagon barrel. I'd like to find a nice shooter, I don't really need a NIB collector. I'd also consider one of the newer 24 inch round barrel rifles. I want a rifle with the forend cap, not a barrel band. If anyone happens to come across one please let me know. I've got a good local FFL for transfers.

I have one made in 1897 38-55 nose cap a few gold parts. bore is smokey but shoots ok . needs sight adjustment wedge , I will send pics to your phone I can't get them on this computer. if your interested .

Domit, thanks, I think I'd prefer a newer one with a good bore, I plan on shooting some loads that are more stout than the typical black powder loads, probably in the 1700 fps range.
