Untitled by Sharps Man, on Flickr After working the sights over on this dude I fought heat and 'skeeters' yesterday for three rounds....all I could stand before I got my arse eaten up! First shot was 10" high so I got busy with the 3 cornered file and lowered the V notch in the rear barrel sight! Didn't know where the POI was gonna be as this was a completely new install for sights so I just centered up both sights with the top flat! I fired two more shots and they went where you can see in photo. Buffalo is 3.5" tall from top of hump down to the brisket area. Shot this at 65 yards! Didn't have to tap either sight one iota! Now all I got to do is 'stake' the sights! Untitled by Sharps Man, on Flickr

Wonder how inappropriate an early Virginia butt plate would be on a 54 or 58 Leman? Fine looking rifles guys.
