Saw it advertised in the latest Cabelas flyer. From the pic it looks like a chrome moly action and coated barrel.

The stock is camo and it's not clear if it's a Hunter stock or Montana stock. Price is $900.

Found no info on Kimber website.

What do you know?

For that price, it is probably a Hunter variant with the plastic/dbm stock I would guess.

It's a dipped Hunter stock with a painted stainless steel action and barrel. It ships with a threaded muzzle and a brake with a black DLC finish.

I'd spend the extra $$ for the Montana stock and blind mag, no question.

It's seems to be Kimbers version of a Tikka T3, that may or may not shoot as well as a T3.

RAR $350
T3 $700
Kimber $900
Montana $1300

Maybe $$ isn't the way to look at it, but I like 80% return on 20% effort.

I just handled one at Bass Pro on my lunch break today and 6.5 Creedmoor is the only caliber they have this model in. The guys at Bass Pro really could tell me much about it. It looks like a FDE Cerakote 22" barrel, black Cerakote action and O2 Octane dipped stock with a very slim muzzle brake. The gun really looks good in person and feels great as well, just not sure how it would shoot? If it was in a 6.5 x 284 or 280 Ackley, I would have brought one home to try it out.

I just bought one in .308....the only one in Oregon apparently. 838.00 out the door.
I really wanted a Montana, maybe used, but just couldn’t find one in .308 for the right price. So, we’ll see how this shoots with a 1.5-5x Leupold in Talley lows. Should be right at 6 lb. unloaded. I like the colors, the stock looks way better to me than the FDE hunter stock, the muzzle brake may stay or go. It could end up at 18 or 20 inches.......
It will certainly be better suited for the rain than my Classic.

I just saw a nice Sako Forester in 308 for 700 that I’d have probably made an offer on if it had been a Crapmore.... or maybe a 243.😀

Does it have a plastic trigger guard molded into the stock like the Hunters?

Blacktail, let us know how you like the rifle. I think I might get one. Just wondering if the Montana is worth the extra loot.......

Well, here we go...

This gun shoots 150 Hot Cor’s into an inch and 150 Ballistic Tips even better. I like everything about this gun except the ring it leaves around the base of the shoulder on every fired case. Just sent it back to Kimber, customer service guy says if it feeds ejects and shoots it meets their standards. I said I wasn’t happy with that response since I’m ruining every case I shoot through this gun which OBVIOUSLY wasn’t chambered correctly. We’ll see what they one up with after they look at it, I told the guy that it should be rebarrelled.
