This small book, essentially a novella at 190 pages, is what you'd expect from Craig Johnson-- A strong plot with characters you learn a lot about and care about. In it, a deceased Wyoming Highway Patrolman who died in the line of duty but who was haunted by rumors of having committed theft has become 'The Highwayman'. His spirit supposedly is responsible for some radio messages that are rarely heard and only heard in a canyon, where the call for an officer needing assistance is radioed. The many aspects of the history are woven together by Johnson complete with Indian spiritualism in a fine story. Worth a read. It's from 2016 and was $20 new but now is remaindered at B&N for considerably less.
