I helped a buddy set one of those up last year. He put a 10X SWFA on it and every group we shot on it's first range trip was under 1/2 moa.

Savage rifles are a great buy for the money. I bought a 308 Hog Hunter to use with suppressor. I was amazed at how accurate it is. Grandkids have Savage Axis. All shoot under an inch easy.

Paid $250 for a new Savage 6.5 CM last year and it shoots 1/2-3/4 MOA. I have to keep it in the corner of my safe, the customs get jealous.

more enclosed port......more rigid action.....
Target Accue trigger.....lighter springs.....10-12 oz
solid bottom single shot.......large shank action
options of dual port.......right bolt/left port.......
I use the right bolt/right port in several set ups
I like 'em.....build 18# p/dog guns......
dogs hate 'em..........

That looks way cheaper than I remembered seeing that gun priced. I thought I saw it listed around $800 last year. Makes me want one.

I have a Savage model 16 stainless 260 Rem that puts 3 Barnes 120gr TSX bullets at 3004fps almost touching at 100yds. It drives these bullets completely thru elk. Absolutely deadly. A super accurate rifle .regardless of price. I believe I gave $550 a few years back.

Savages aren’t pretty but, they are accurate.
