I have had this rifle for several years, no alterations EG 22 inch barrel chambered in 303 pretty nice old rifle made before they started checkering the EG. $630 shipped to your ffl or C&R recovers my investment. If you need one for your collection they do not come up all that often. Please pm with interest I can text or email pictures tonight.
Thanks Chris
What you have done is not nearly as important as how you have done it!!! The Old Fart 2008 A.D.
Correct on the 30 30,s as I have one. Only 99 that I have seen that has the EG markings on the butt stock. Curious is yours marked serial and EG model on the butt stock? GW
If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared. MACHIAVELLI
As far as 303s in the configuration, you don’t see too many. However, you see a lot of Spiegel guns in 303. Which is like an EG, kind of.

The Speigel, .303, 22", EG is exactly what I have and it is a sweet rifle to handle and shoot! It'll be at Savage Fest.
I have one as well. I killed a nice 8 point Texas buck with it while hunting with another forum member here. I am going as well and I will bring it,

It is an EG.. just one with a couple extra features. Like a 99E/S is a 99E, just with a scope.

The tang crack I can not feel running my thumb accross it. Behind it is a slight linear dent which appears to add to it but if you look it does not. The bore is bright and shiny like new I tried to get a few pictures of the bore I can email if interested
Thanks Chris
