Anyone know how many No. 5's Bill made?

Imagine a corporate oligarchy so effective, so advanced and fine tuned that its citizens still call it a democracy.

I suggest you head over to the Single Action Forum and ask. There is a gent there that is writing a book on his guns. He posts here every once in a while. Here's my #5 44 Magnum that I ordered from Bill in 1994. He gave me a tour of his "shop" and we chatted in his office of things he had in works. It was a great day.

I found the below Quote: Steve Borchardt posting on WWWSingleActions.Com Forums - March 1st, 2011

"I'm writing a book on Texas Longhorn Arms. Supposedly Grover did have a book of the guns he made, but it was never found when he died.
I've been rebuilding what I can one gun at a time by requesting TLA owners fill out a survey form on their gun. I have over 100 guns in my data base.
Not only does filling out a survey help us estimate the total number of guns produced, it also provides parts variations and helps us nail down when he
made certain design changes (of which there were several.)"

If you would be so kind, you can find the survey form at:
www.tlabook.com

Or you can email me and I'll send you one. Thanks in advance:

Stephen Webb is the man writing the book on the TLA story. He has purchased many of Bill Grovers' firearms and a number of rare and one off pieces. I have purchased many of my TLA guns form Steve including Bill Grovers personal 44 magnum Border Special he used to take an alligator when Texas first reopened their season. I have sold all my 44 mag and 45 Colt TLA Improved #5 guns but three 41 Mag guns out of this bunch are still here along with a few others.

Mesquite? aka Texas Ironwood. Bill’s pistol looks nice whatever it is.

Very nice case colors and wood. I like ‘em.

The bottom gun was Bills Border Special and he took a hunk of pecan wood from the woodpile and made the grips.
