Got back from p.d. hunt, tried a new powder cfe-blk,learned a couple things, best load ever 32 gr. varmageddon 20 hrs. of powder, w.s.r. primer a little over 3800 f.p.s.,devistates pd's way out there.I tried 19 hrs.of powder with 40 gr hornady v-max,had two or three blown primers, got to pull 500 rounds this Winter,this load is a little warm, gonna back down to 18 hrs. anybody else tried cfe-blk in the fabulous vartarg?

have not used CFE BLK.....

H322 does the trick in mine........19/H322 moly 40 12T high mileage barrel

safe load in my rifle......been shooting 20 VT about 12 years now.......

40 V max main boolit........played around some with the 39 TNT & 32's

in those 12 years......cleanly kilt p/dogs out to 600 yds with it........

but really shines inside of 500 yds.......amazing cartridge

I think a Vartarg would be perfect for the varmint shooting I do except for the brass issue.

Built a 20 Practical this year and like it so far.

Brass prep is really easy.

What are yopu guys doing for Vartrag brass?

Bought forming dies from redding for 221 fireball, make cases out of 223 brass, after i make a batch of cases for fireball just run them through redding f.l. vartarg die, takes a lot of steps but makes excellent tight necked brass, good Winter project.
